Solar Night Industries Inc. announced that it has been selected by Sage Homebuilders to design and install a 4 kW solar energy system to be featured at the National Green Builders Conference in St. Louis. The Conference will bring over 1,400 builders and dozens of national and local media representatives. The home will also be a cornerstone in the Parade of Green Homes, an event being planned by local green homebuilders for late spring. The 4 kW system, with Sharp´s 167 watt panels custom designed to fit the structure of the roof, boasts the Gridpoint Connect System. This system offers 900-1000 amp hours of backup and powers the sump pump, refrigerator, lighting, geothermal system, and more in the event of an outage.
